7:14 Prayer

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

In the month of July, we are asking 70 (or more) people to commit to 14 minutes of prayer, 7 days a week! We believe that prayer has the power to change ALL things, and we want to stand in the gap for our nation. Let's make a difference! Would you like to be a part of this? Register here to let us know that you are going to be praying with us!

Every Wednesday, we will update this page with 7 new prayer topics, each with a short prayer and some scripture to get you started! We have kept some the same, but we have also added a few new prayer topics! If you spend two minutes on each one, you will have completed your 14 minutes– but you don't have to stop there!

7/22- 7/31

"Almighty God, we know that everything is in Your sovereign control. We pray that You would heal those who are sick and deliver our nation from the continued spreading of this disease." (2 Chronicles 7:14, Mark 11:23, Isaiah 53:5)

"Lord Jesus, there is heartbreaking racial division in our land. We pray that You would heal the wounded, bring harmony and justice for Your children, who are ALL made in Your image." (Romans 15:5-7, Galatians 3:28)

"Father, we pray that You would give supernatural wisdom and knowledge to our leaders. We ask that You would anoint them with the Spirit of God to lead honestly and with integrity as they make decisions that affect our communities and our nation." (Psalm 2:10-11, 1 Timothy 2:1-3)

"Lord Jesus, as marriages and families are in crisis, we pray that You would give strength, restore hope, and bring reconciliation to every home. We stand against every attack of the enemy that would aim to tear families apart." (1 Peter 4:8, Ephesians 4:32)

5. FIRST RESPONDERS (medical, police, military, etc.)

"Father, as our first responders are facing more crime and unrest than ever before, we pray for protection, strength, wisdom, and peace as they respond to the needs and safety of our communities and our nation." (Galatians 6:9-10, Isaiah 26:3)

"Father, we pray that the next generation would rise up as strong leaders. We pray that they would be a generation after Your heart; a generation that never compromises Your truth." (Psalm 24:6, Proverbs 22:6, 23:23)

"God, we pray for peace and we pray against every ungodly act of violence that would destroy Your people, our communities, and our nation. Holy Spirit, bring conviction to the hearts of those who are committing violent acts of sin." (Proverbs 3:29, Titus 3:1-2)

"Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that You’ve made us one with You and with one another. Today we ask that this election would not bring division in the Body of Christ. Keep us from anger, judgment, and criticism toward one another. May love prevail." (1 Corinthians 1:10, 2 Corinthians 13:11)

"Jesus, we pray for business leaders who are called to minister in the marketplace. We ask that they would speak boldly and walk in integrity. We ask you to pour out wisdom and increase financial gain for the sake of Your Kingdom." (Psalm 37:23-24, Matthew 6:33)

"Father, we ask You to move in the area of media & entertainment. We pray against demonic influence in entertainment and pray that there would be an uprising of Christ-centered news, books, magazines, shows, and movies." (Ephesians 2:10, Luke 10:2)

"Lord Jesus, we thank You for our institution of education in America. We ask You to pour out wisdom and knowledge upon the leaders who are facing very difficult decisions about reopening school this year. Please guide them towards safety and protection and show them the best solutions to move forward with the education of our children."(Colossians 2:2-3)

“God, we thank You for the gift of marriage between a man and a woman. We pray for purity in marriages and that you would also protect single young adults and children from the evil attacks against the covenant of marriage. We break down the stronghold of false intimacy and speak purity over Your church and our nation." (Genesis 2:24, Colossians 3:5)

"God, we pray for revival to come across our nation that is led through the spreading of the gospel, Godly repentance, and spirit filled believers who will disciple new believers in the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ." (John 14:6, Mark 9:37-38)

"Father, we thank you that the blood of Jesus gives us full access to come to you in prayer and intercession. Help us to remain faithful in prayer and to stand firm against the schemes and distractions of the enemy. Thank You that You have promised us, "if we will humble ourselves to pray and seek your face, that you will bring healing and forgiveness to our land.” (Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6, 2 Chronicles 7:14)

"Our Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy. May Your Kingdom come soon. May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one." (Matthew 6:9-13 (NLT))
